Emerging from the Stonewall Riots & Civil Rights Movements\, discotheques became a space where marginalized groups could express themselves freely. Clubs like The Loft & Paradise Garage were more than just dance floors—they were safe havens where identities were celebrated & bigotry was left at the door. Disco’s pulsating rhythms & euphoric melodies were acts of defiance\, blending Black music traditions with futuristic sounds to create anthems of joy & resilience. Despite disco’s rise being met with racist\, sexist & homophobic backlash\, its influence persisted\, laying the foundation for dance music genres like house & techno. \nThis party is more than just a celebration.
